Rebecca's Lost Journals - The four novellas combined into one volume...

Rebecca Mason has known heartache and sorrow in her life, losing everyone she loves. She's on her own in San Francisco, lost in every way, until she dares to make the decision to chase her dream of working in the art world. It is then that she meets a rich, seductively powerful man who will become the Master she never knew she wanted and change her life forever. He will lead her on a dark, passionate journey where pain is pleasure and pleasure is pain, and where every limit she once had is no more. In this man, she will find solace to her pain, an escape from the ache inside her. And in him, she will discover a darkness she may never escape.

Rebecca Lost Journals Volumes 15 (Audible Audio Edition) Lisa Renee Jones Grace Grant Sebastian York Simon Schuster Audio Books

I give this book five stars because LRJ not only managed to write yet another amazing book but she shows us Rebecca and Sara's similarities in a way where we didn't question who we were reading about, we knew it was Rebecca and we could compare the two without getting confused. This novella also includes bonus material so who wouldn't love that!

I dislike that this was only Rebecca's Lost Journals hence the title of the book. I wish it would've been a complete novel including all of her journals: these, the one's Sara had, the one Mark found and even her business client journal. You will get plenty of insight into Rebecca with just her lost journals but I'm greedy and I want to know everything about Rebecca and it's all LRJ's fault for making me fall in love with this series.

I love that I finally got to see Rebecca for who she was. Someone on an emotionally rollercoaster, someone who wrote in her journals so she could go back and read them when she needed to be grounded, someone who kept her own secrets. Someone who was madly in love and would do any and everything to please him even denying herself what she really wanted until it couldn't be ignored anymore. I saw a tortured girl fighting to find herself and become what she always wanted to be while constantly feeling alone. I do believe Rebecca and her Master were good for each other but they never stood a chance at having something great BC honestly they were both scared. This was a very good insight into Rebecca as a normal girl and a submissive, I felt like I was right there with her but it also gave us some insight into Mark. I thought Rebecca would sound so much like Sara but that wasn't the case at all. I could see all the differences in them, I also could see the similarities. I loved this book and I'm secretly hoping that Rebecca is still alive bc that lady deserves a happy ever after.

" I'd do anything to know and understand who I truly am. And I think that tonight, that was exactly what I was looking for: me. I just didn't realize it until I met him. "
" Not many men can make me breathless, but there aren't many men who can claim the very air that exists around them, as he does. "
" Those words were laced with possessiveness, and the way he'd looked at me ... I felt more naked than I have felt with my legs spread wide for any other man. "

I would recommend this book to Inside Out Series lovers, although you don't need to read this book to completely
understand the series I highly recommended that you do in order to understand Rebecca more

Bonus material: The Master Undone

I give this book five stars because I could feel Mark's loss of
Rebecca and his feelings for Crystal through LRJ's writing. I don't know how she does it but every time I slip into an alternative world that only includes the Inside Out Series, LRJ you did it again!

I dislike that this was just a novella, when it got to the end I wanted so much more. That's the only thing I didn't like bc I'm greedy lol.

I love that this book gave me a completely different look at Mark. The Master Undone is exactly that, undone with no control. We get to see how Mark is reacting and grieving the loss of Rebecca but most of all how he felt towards her as his sub and why he did some of things he did with her. We see his and Chris's relationship begin to mend which I love because even through all the tension they showed against each other in all the other books you could always tell that at one point of time you couldn't separate them if you tried. We learn why he treated Sara the way he did and get the intro into his family life and problems. What I loved most about this book is that I got to see his vulnerable, out of control, he's on an emotional rollercoaster side. We usually see him well put together, in complete control but put him in a family emergency and a woman who is just in control as him and we see the softer side of him. I'm so extremely happy LRJ allowed us to see this side of Mark the Master.

" I've let this woman I barely know see emotions I try never to feel, let alone allow anyone to experience with me. "
" I trust this woman more than I trust myself right now. And that scares me in a way I haven't been scared in a very long time. "
" Maybe its simply that she's different from everything familiar, and everything familiar feels wrong right now."
" She's real to me in a way no one else has felt in too long . "
" The burn to kiss her is intense. I don't kiss women. I f--- them. I please them. I like to please them. To drive them to the edge and make then want and want, until release is sweet bliss. But I don't kiss them. "

I recommend this book to Inside Out Series lovers, this is the first book from Mark's POV so don't miss out on his voice!

Rebecca Lost Journals Volumes 15 (Audible Audio Edition) Lisa Renee Jones Grace Grant Sebastian York Simon Schuster Audio Books Reviews

I enjoyed these books, however, when you purchase a set of books you expect the to have some semblance of the correct reading order but these do not. you must read them in order skipping the second to last story, the master undone. then you must purchase and read being me. then read the master undone. it was incredibly frustrating to discover that even though I followed the suggested reading order presented halfway through the set the stories were STILL in the incorrect order and it ruined them for me.
Excellent! I loved the journals. What a great way to look at the different characters. Journals, Novels, Novellas. I love this entire Inside Out Series. The only change I'd make is to somehow make it easier to see the order in which the books should be read. It's a little difficult when it's being downloaded to a smartphone to be read on a App.
Rebecca's Journals showed more of her emotions. We got to see how she really felt about Mark, what she really wanted. I wanted to learn who the man was that she left the country with and how she met him. This information is not disclosed. I did see a lot of parallels between Mark and Rebecca's relationship and Chris and Sara's. I now see why Sara has been concerned.
Love the Inside Out Series. This wasn't my favorite book, but interesting part of the story none the less. I can appreciate that Lisa Renee Jones sells books that are book length, mostly, rather than super short cliff hanger ones that leave you wanting more and feeling nickeled and dimed by paying 3-4 for an incomplete story. Good romantic/erotic fiction.
I will finish reading it eventually, but being that the outcome is so predictable, I have been unable to continue reading. This also stopped me from reading the remaining books on the series. I read "if I were you" and liked it, but this one feels like a roadblock...kind of annoying. Maybe I'll like it once I find energy to continue reading...we'll see. Three stars just because I'm stuck in the middle of it and don't know if it's good or not
I know... you can read the novels of the Inside Out Series by themselves. This compilation of all of Rebecca's Journals is the perfect companion for those of us who absolutely LOVE this series and want all the details we can get to solve the mystery. Without these glimpses into what really happened from Rebecca's POV, we would not have those delicious little tid bits of information that make this series so great. Talk about added value! I am gushing, yes, I LOVE this series!
Rebecca’s Lost Journals is a collection of different novellas that also includes Master Undone. I read this story after I finished No In Between. It is suggested that you read this before the last book, but I liked that I had read the fourth one first. The book is mainly Rebecca’s early journal entries and depicts her relationship with Mark. We get to know more about the woman who has affected so many lives and the man that changed hers forever. We see that she struggled greatly with the decision to be with Mark and what I didn’t realize is that she and Mark were together for longer than I thought. We now know why she had to leave.
In Master Undone, which is part of this collection, we see more of how Rebecca’s death has changed Mark. We get to see the man and not the master. There is a glimpse into why he chose his present lifestyle and we are introduced to Chrystal, the woman who helps his mom run Riptide. She and Mark are alike in so many ways. Despite his best efforts he finds her attractive, even though she is nothing like the women that he usually chooses to be his. Crystal isn’t one to be controlled in or out of the bedroom and Mark is thrown for a loop. I can’t wait till we get to see more of this story. I think that this book serves to show Mark as human and less of an arrogant ass and dominant creep. As with everyone, there is more than what you see on the surface and I hope that the next book in the series allows us to peel back his many layers and expose the seemingly damaged man underneath.
